Ninety-five additional slots were added to the mix at 12 of the 13 casinos. (One casino failed to add any new games in November.) There is also one new blackjack game (Golden Nugget) and two new table games (Golden Nugget and Pala). At the same time, Borgata eighty-sixed two of its blackjack games, reducing the site’s total blackjack offerings to just four.
Three casinos can now boast more than 400 games, with two having more than 300, and four more than 200. Only two casinos offer less than 100 games, that being 888 and Harrah’s, both of which were among the first to open in November 2013 under land-based partner Caesars.
Golden Nugget is still leading the pack but only by a hair. It has just a one-game lead over Resorts. With five new online casino games in New Jersey, its total stands at 457 with 408 slots, the most blackjack tables (13), second most video poker games (21), and the most table games (15).
Of the five new slot additions, you’ll find the seasonal Secrets of Christmas, Wild Run, Emoji Planet, Zeus God of Thunder and Legend of the Pharaohs. This last slot an interesting Free Spins Bonus round.
While the traditional three Scatters will get you to 10 free spins, four Scatters add in to bonuses, and five Scatters earn you three bonuses.
There are five possible bonuses that can be activated, including:
- Wild Reels Bonus
- Eliminator Bonus
- Wild Symbols Bonus
- Colossal Symbol Bonus
- Free Spins Re-Trigger Bonus
There’s also a Big Bet feature with Sticky Symbols and a Pharaoh’s Bonus feature. So many ways to win!
Meanwhile, VirginCasino.com ringing in December with 193 total games:
- 171 slots
- 6 blackjack tables
- 6 video poker games
- 10 table games
That total includes the 4 new slots they added in November.
Much like sister site Tropicana, Virgin has added Epic Monopoly II, Monopoly Bring the House Down, and Cheshire Cat. But they also added the fantastical Cirque du Soleil Kooza. This slot, which follows the story of the famous production of the same name, features four different jackpot prizes.
These are won if you trigger the Jackpot Bonus game from within one of the bonus features. Here you can win the Mini, Grand, Colossal or Tres Magnifique jackpot prizes.
These range from 10x, 40x , 125x, or 500x your stake. The jackpot isn’t a progressive game, but the higher your wager on each spin, the greater the size of each jackpot will be. Now that’s worth checking out.
Tropicana typically adds between three and six new games and month and November was no exception. Three new slot additions brought its overall game count total to 197, meaning next month should push the site up into the 200 mix. Right now Tropicana is neck and neck with sister site Virgin.
Two of the three new slots are based on the popular Milton Bradley board game Monopoly. The first is Epic Monopoly II with its Stacked Symbols and Colossal Reel Set, and the second is Monopoly Bring the House Down, which features a Big Bet option.
There’s also childhood favorite Cheshire Cat, grinning at you ever so maniacally from the reels, that features characters from Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland.
Betfair continues to slowly add to its stable of online casino games in New Jersey, with five new additions this month, bringing their total game count now to 255 — right in the middle of the pack. New offerings include Gypsy Moon, Legend of the Pharaohs, The Legend of Shangri-La: Cluster Pays, and the hilarious Emoji Planet.
Emoji Planet, by NetEnt Games, incorporates social media icons into a slot game. You’ll find all your faves, including an alien, pizza slice, spaceship, crying emoji, kiss mark and… the poop emoji. With Cluster Pays instead of traditional pay-lines, there are more ways to win.
There’s also five Emoji Meters (Bomb Meter, Pizza Meter, Kiss Mark Meter, Rocket Meter and Two Hearts Meter) that provide different awards and bonuses. You’ll give this one a big smiley face. 🙂
Right in the hunt along with Betfair is Borgata, with six new additions to its lineup. Borgata is just a slight step ahead with 255 total games, including 238 slots, four blackjack tables, 12 video poker games and five table games.
New this month is the aforementioned Emoji Planet, as well as Big Foot, Wild West, Zeus God of Thunder and Secrets of Christmas.
Just in time for the holiday season, Secrets of Christmas is NetEnt’s newest slot with five reels and 25 pay-lines. Set in a winter wonderland, reels feature wreaths, stockings (hung by the chimney with care) gingerbread houses, and even cookies and milk for jolly old St. Nick.
The Free Spins bonus round starts off with your choice of 20 Christmas gifts, each supplying a different bonus, including additional multipliers, free spins and Stacking Wilds. Perfect game to enjoy with a cup of hot cider.
It’s been at least five months since 888 has added any new games to their lineup. The site is holding steady with 55 slots, 1 blackjack table, 1 video poker game and five table games.
Caesars dropped back down to single digit additions to their game library this month with seven, just a tad less that the 11 last month. Still holding strong with a wide variety of games available, they are one of only two casinos to be offering between 300 and 400 games (384) and is still the leader when it comes to the most video poker games (22).
Among its additions is Wild Run, a five-reel slot with 243 ways to win. Spin the reels and you’ll find that any win activates the On-A-Roll feature. This has multiple levels, kicking in free spins until you spin a losing combination.
Should you attain 4 winning on-a-roll spins, you’ll get the Free Games feature where the number of Wilds is increased and come with a 5x multiplier. There’s also Venice Magic, a Carnival-themed slot, Legend of the Pharaohs that has bonus games within the Free Spins bonus round, and Zeus God of Thunder with its Extra Bet feature and Minor, Major, Mega, and Grand jackpots.
Harrah’s made a big move this month, plumping up their slot offerings with 22 additional games, some old and some new. Harrah’s has also added one blackjack table, one video poker game and four table games. This brings its total offerings up to 87, getting closer to an even 100.
Among the older titles Harrah’s has added are Merlin’s Millions, Spin Sorceress, and King Kong. Some of the great new slots include:
- Bingo Billions: a gameshow-style bingo-based game, complete with loud host shouting out BINGO!
- NextGen’s Manic Millions: a fun take on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein featuring the good doctor and his trusty sidekick Igor
- Big Foot: based on the legend of the same name, offering bumper bonuses and a wilderness campground theme.
Obviously, plenty of new ways to have fun at Harrah’s.
Well, Mohegan has finally caught up to Golden Nugget when it comes to the number of slots they offer. Both sites now offer a whopping 408 different slots, the most of any NJ online casinos. That 408 includes the eight new slots added in the last month, bringing total game count at Mohegan to 446, just 11 games shy of Golden Nugget.
Unique to Mohegan, and sister brand Resorts, are two slots: Wheely Wheely Big Win and Lightning Gems. Wheely Wheely Big Win forgoes the traditional five or six reels for two wheels, one inside the other.
It’s a bit like roulette but instead of betting on just one small portion of the reel, you can choose to widen it to include multiple wedges. A unique slot, to be sure, but one worth giving a whirl.
With Lightning Gems, you’ll get a more traditional look as well as a Wild Nudge feature, where on any spin when you just miss a win, the reels can be nudged up or down into a winning position. There’s also Wild Wins and the typical Free Spins bonus games, where 10 wilds are added to each reel.
You can also check out the other new slots at Mohegan:
- Secrets of Christmas
- Wild Run
- Emoji Planet
- Venice Magic
- Legend of the Pharaohs
- Zeus God of Thunder
Pala has been a bit hit or miss when it comes to adding new games. Some months you’ll see zero or one and the next it’s double digits. Well, this month it’s double-digit time with 14 new slots, bringing their overall game total to 248 or mid-pack among the 13 casinos.
Three of the new games being offered are based on children’s classics: Alice and the Mad Tea Party and Cheshire Cat from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and Wizard of Oz Road to Emerald City from L. Frank Baum’s book of the same name. This last title is the seventh in the Wizard of Oz series from WMS Gaming and has seven bonus features:
- Glinda the Good Witch Booster
- Toto Emerald Trails
- Scarecrow Crow Prizes
- Wicked Witch Free Spins
- Tin Man Winning Spin
- Cowardly Lion Multipliers
- Dorothy Feature
Another casino sitting in the middle of the pack is BetMGM casino, which gradually adds new offerings every month. This month is no exception with seven new slots, bringing their total slot count to 228 and their overall game count to 248.
Much like the other sub-brands of land-based Borgata AC, playMGM has added Secrets of Christmas, Emoji Planet, Big Foot, and Zeus God of Thunder. They’ve also added Wild West, a comical take on whiskey-swilling cowboys hanging out in a saloon.
This fun slot from NextGen Gaming features typical Wild West paraphernalia, including cowboy boots, whiskey bottles, bags of loot, and a poker-playing horse. During the Free Spins games, the Chipstack Scatter will appear, possibly earning you the Chip Prize. And if you really want to make the game more interesting, supercharge it with the SuperBet feature, increasing your wins by 2x to 5x.
Resorts is the clear leader when it comes to slots these days with 418 offerings, 10 more than its nearest competitor. Even with this enormous number, thy still trail leader Golden Nugget by one game overall, currently sitting with a total of 456 games.
Of the 8 new games that Resorts added this week you’ll find:
- Secrets of Christmas
- Wild Run
- Wheely Wheely Big Win
- Emoji Planet
- Lightning Gems
- Venice Magic
- Legend of the Pharaohs
- Zeus God of Thunder
Earlier this year SugarHouse started really amping up their offerings. August saw SugarHouse add 25 new slots, with 20 in September, 11 in October, and this month it has slowed its roll and added only six. But SugarHouse still continues to be a leader, with one of only two casinos offering between 300 and 400 games. With its current 386 game total, it won’t be long before it hits that 400 mark.
November saw SugarHouse add Zeus God of Thunder and Ancient Thunder, two Greek god-themed games with totally different looks, Venice Magic, Legend of the Pharaohs, Slingo Reel Bonus, and one of the cutest new games on the market: Pigasus & Friends.
This last game is set on a cartoon farm with some pretty unusual animals, including a blue unicorn sheep, three-headed calf, purple bird, and Pigasus himself, a porcine character with wings. This slot has your typical Wilds, as well as a Pick Me Wild bonus, which can increase the Wild multiplier from 2x to 10x.
There’s also a unique Red Hot Respin feature that is available when you get two of three bonus symbols. You can pay for the chance to respin one reel to get that third symbol to trigger the bonus. Once the Free Spins Bonus kicks in, you’ll be given 2 – 4 lives.
You spin and win until the Big Bad Wolf appears and steals a life. With each life stolen, the win multiplier does increase though, anywhere from 2x to 10x.
