WSOP.com NJ is the online poker site for the World Series of Poker. It is the exclusive provider of online satellites to the summer tournament series in Las Vegas.
WSOP.com is operated by Caesars Interactive Entertainment. It is licensed by Caesars in Atlantic City and regulated by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
It shares its player pool with 888 Poker, but since May 1, 2018, New Jersey players at 888/WSOP can play cash games with players in Nevada and Delaware. The shared player pool, otherwise known as the Multi-State Internet Gaming Alliance, unites the family of 888/WSOP players in all three states.

Mobile play on WSOP NJ
WSOP NJ supports a mobile application for both iOS and Android-enabled devices. The app can be directly downloaded from the main site, or via iTunes for iPhone and iPad users.
The operator has done an admirable job with its mobile product. Players can participate in cash games, sit & go tournaments, and multi-table tournaments on mobile. The tournament lobby is descriptive and intuitive, more so than the other lobbies, which task players with using sliders to find their preferred game type.
The problem is there is no way for players to know if their cash game or sit & go choice is currently running until they actually set their preferences and attempt to play. Table selection is also not an option on mobile, which may turn off site regulars. Players cannot multi-table.
That said, once players do find a table, the action runs smoothly.
From mobile, players can access the site’s cashier — although cashiering is done outside the app, which is a bit of a drag. Account management features are also available. Clicking on “My Account” also leads players to an external webpage.
Highlights of WSOP NJ online poker
WSOP.com is the busiest poker site in New Jersey. Games run 24 hours a day.
The best part of WSOP.com is the ability to win seats to live World Series of Poker events held in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. These online satellites are exclusive to WSOP.com in the US.
WSOP NJ traffic
Cash game and tournament liquidity on WSOP are both solid. Tournaments run during most hours of the day, with the site’s daily majors active from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
No Limit Hold’em games dominate the cash game lobby, but PLO games also run somewhat regularly. The most common stakes are centered around the $0.25/$0.50 blind level, with up to $25/$50 available.
Cash games are predominantly of the 6-max variety.
Sit & go’s don’t always run, and when they do, they tend to be low-to-mid stakes games. That being said, the site’s SNG scene is more active compared to other NJ online poker sites.
What are the unique aspects of WSOP.com in NJ?
Because WSOP NJ shares liquidity with 888 Poker NJ at the lower stakes, the site’s $0.25/$0.50 and lower cash game tables are very active.
But what’s truly unique about WSOP’s offering is its promotional schedule, which is far more comprehensive and creative than we’ve seen elsewhere in New Jersey. Promotions are targeted at all different player types, from casuals to pros, and from cash game junkies to tournament grinders.
Also nice is that WSOP NJ offers players plenty of opportunities to parlay their way into live World Series of Poker events at the Rio in Las Vegas. No other NJ-based poker room does the same.
What kinds of players will like the WSOP NJ poker room?
Generally speaking, play on WSOP tends toward the soft side, so new players won’t have to fear getting hunted down by site regulars — at least not too often.
The site also caters to those with limited bankrolls: Most of the active cash game stakes require buy-ins of $50 or less, and the initial buy-in for many of the site’s multi-table tournaments are under $35.
That being said, most of the tournaments allow for rebuys and add-ons, so if freeze-outs are more your style, steer clear.
WSOP NJ March 2019 updates
The World Series of Poker just announced its online bracelet events for 2019 and they’ve bumped to total up to 9! That’s 9 chances for a bracelet and a title, not to mention a fair amount of change. Here’s the schedule:
- June 2: NLH – $400 buy-in
- June 9: 6-Handed PLO – $600 buy-in
- June 16: Knockout Bounty NLH – $600 buy-in
- June 19: Turbo NLH Deepstack – $500 buy-in
- June 23: Double Stack NLH – $1,000 buy-in
- June 30: NLH Championship – $1,000 buy-in
- July 3: High Roller NLH – $3,200 buy-in
- July 7: 6-Handed NLH – $800 buy-in
- July 14: Summer Saver NLH – $500 buy-in
New Jersey residents do need to be aware that the DOJ could make a ruling on the Wire Act prior to the WSOP, which would make online players outside of Nevada ineligible for these events. Stay tuned for more information on this issue.
WSOP March promotions include a March Reload. If you make a deposit between March 1-17 using the code LUCKY500, for every 100 APPs earned, you’ll be credited with $10 (up to $500). There’s also Cash for Clubs, which rewards you with a $500 cash bonus should you flop a Royal Flush in any cash game between March 14-17.
And if you’re in AC between March 10-15, there are daily satellites for the WSOP Circuit $1,700 Main Event. Make your way to Harrah’s Resort for the 6 pm start time and try to win a seat into the event, which will be held March 15-16, also at Harrah’s.
WSOP NJ uses the same award winning platform as 888 Poker, and shares partial liquidity with the same. The site offers a nice balance between cash games and tournaments, and features creative promotions that cover different player types. Beginning players will find that the welcome bonus keeps them afloat long enough to learn the ins and outs of the game, while seasoned players will appreciate the ability to table select during prime time hours. WSOP NJ may not roll-out high-profile tournament series’ like its competitors, but its day-in and day-out experience is second to none.
